On occasions you will experience problems with our fuel pages. This will occur when Fuel Watch are uploading new prices to there website or experiencing unusually high traffic enquiries. If this occurs please check back in 5 minutes and the problem is usually solves itself. If you are experiencing ongoing difficulties please advise us via email on our contacts page.

How do I get my youth, sporting or community group involved?

Simply contact us or forward our website via our email link (to the right of screen) to your group committee. We publish all groups’ information and contacts free of charge to all non profit groups. If you would like your fixtures published we are also very happy to – all you need do is provide the details and we will do the rest.

How do I access sunrise / sunset times?

Click on Broome Weather (to the right of screen) and then click on [more] below the 4 day forecast in the third column of display.

How do I include my event in Community Calendar?

Listings are free. All you need do is contact us and make the request.

Why does make cents Broome give 20% of all income to youth, sporting and community groups?

By providing opportunities for social interaction, sport, youth and community groups help enhance our community identity and promote community integration. Individuals learn and share community values and attitudes gaining a better understanding of other cultures and groups in society.

Participation in physical activity and social interaction creates a wide range of benefits for individuals and the communities they live in. When people are physically active and stimulated they are healthier, happier and more socially inclusive.

Regretfully these organisations are completely reliant on this dedicated band of volunteers and the essential financial support extended by our local business community.

Without the support of both business and volunteers these community groups would cease to exist. Make cents – buy local acknowledges and recognises the contribution and commitment of every volunteer. Their sense of commitment and contribution to the Broome community is very much understated.

We want to show our support for these volunteers and increase the range of sports and activities currently on offer.

Why does make cents Broome charge an entry fee for tipping competitions?

Make cents Broome runs these competitions on a purely fundraising basis. Make cents Broome makes nothing from these competitions and we meet all costs incurred in the running of these competitions. All fees from these competitions are pooled and distributed to the winners (check rules on each competition) with 20% held over for distribution to Broome youth, sporting & community groups. Our aim is to increase participation and awareness within our community because we believe it will ultimately build a better community for us all.
